Question: Training Frequency

Question: How often should I workout?

Answer:  It depends.

At Aestus, the question that we like to ask back is :

“Do you have a goal that you are working toward?”

We ask this question, because it is unfair to assume that everyone’s goals are the same.

Not everyone walks through our doors on day one of their Fitness Journey with the same thing in mind.

  • Weight Loss
  • Strength
  • Mobility
  • Injury Rehab

These are just a few of the reasons that people come to Aestus.

With a goal to work toward, we can then begin with a recommendation.

For the person who is taking the first steps of their Fitness Journey, we suggest 3 days per week.

This is 3 hours of exercise per week of varying intensity that includes:

  • Cardio
  • HIIT
  • Resistance Exercise
  • Mobility
  • Bodyweight movements.

With all of this work done in just an hour, we can accomplish quite a bit in the direction of someone’s goals.

After gaining some experience, we can suggest a move to 4 or 5 days per week.  At this point we can also make recommendations on nutrition that would complement the results achieved and aid in recovery.

So, “Start with three”.

Three sessions of:

  • Walking
  • Calisthenics
  • Weightlifting
  • Running
  • HIIT

You get the idea—Find a way to move and then do it consistently.  Support your Journey with good food and rest.
