After thousands of hours of training and nutrition counseling with hundreds of clients, I have learned one simple thing.
The number one thing keeping all of us from reaching our goals is this: Commitment.
Yep, that’s right—commitment.
“But hey!!! When I put my mind to something, I do it!”
And that is exactly why we have trouble hitting our goals.
In his book, Unf*ck Yourself: Get Out of Your Head and Into Your Life, Gary John Bishop states very simply, “You are wired to win.”
It just depends on what you are currently winning.
Are you winning at Meal Prep or are you winning at hitting the drive through on the way home?
Are you winning at getting to the gym 3 times per week or are you winning at catching up on Netflix, and sleeping in?
Are you winning at drinking enough water or are you winning at having “just one more” beer?
See where this is going?
Your mind is focused in a direction. You are committed. It just depends on what your head is committed to.
You can achieve your goals.
Decide what you want.
Make your plan.
Stick to it.
You will build the habits that create success and retain success.
