Nutrient-Dense vs. Calorie Dense
When it comes to your nutrition, you always want more bang for your buck. That’s why we encourage a variety of whole foods in every meal. Foods high in nutrients, specifically micronutrients are what provide us with not only our carbs, fat, and protein, but antioxidants, minerals, and phytonutrients that are important for our health. Reach for foods that are closest to their original form (minimally processed, if processed at all) when eating for nutrients!
